Obituary
OTTUMWA — Blossom Harper Hallberg, 85, of 408 E. Pennsylvania Ave. died May 16, 1994, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born Oct. 19. 1908, in Ottumwa to William T. and Alice Beaman Harper. She married Walter F. Abernathy on June 9, 1930, in Ottumwa. He died Dec. 22, 1954. She married M.K. "Bud" Hallberg on Feb 12, 1956, in Ottumwa. He died July 19, 1970. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Ottumwa Bird Club. She is survived by a granddaughter and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and a son, Fritz Harper Abernathy. A memorial Service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa, the Rev. Wayne Kamm of Mount Pleasant assisted by Art LeTourneau will be officiating. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery in Blakesburg. Visitation will begin at noon today at the funeral home. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.s. on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Ottumwa Bird Club.
