History
In 1967, Franz made his first trip to the United States. He searched in Virginia, but failed to locate Fritz relatives there.
In 1968, Franz and his daughter, Margit, traveled to Blakesburg. Here, they met Caroline Fritz Couch, Gertrude Fritz Brinton an her husband Kenneth, and Edward Fritz and his wife Marjorie Miller Fritz. Perhaps as a result of this visit, Edward wrote many letters to Frankz.
