Edna H. Shea was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on 20 March 1892, to William S. and Gertrude Cornelius Fritz Shea. She died in Ottumwa, Iowa on 12 June 1959. She was buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Obituary

Death Comes To Mrs. Edna Maloney

Mrs. Edna Maloney, 67, of Blakesburg, a former Ottumwan, died at 5:40 a.m. today at the St. Joseph Hospital. She was born March 20, 1892, in Ottumwa and lived her early life at Blakesburg. In 1917 she was married to Patrick Maloney in Ottumwa. He preceded her in death in 1943. Mr. Maloney was a former manager of the J. B. Sax Co. store here. For the last 10 years Mrs. Maloney had made her home with her brother, John Shea, in Blakesburg. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary society, Catholic Daughters of America, and the St. Joseph Hospital Guild. Besides her husband, her parents and one sister preceded her in death. Surviving besides her brother is a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wilford Barger of Stockton, California and Mrs. Barger's two children, Patricia Barger, also of Stockton and William Barger of San Lorenzo, California and a niece, Mrs. John Erland of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Traul Funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. W. E. Cullinan, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Members of St. Mary's parish and friends will meet at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to recite the Rosary.

MALONEY FUNERAL

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Maloney, who died at 5:40 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Hospital, will be Monday morning. There will be a service at 9:30 at the Traul Funeral Home and at 10 o'clock, a requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. W. E. Cullinan. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Edward Fritz, Ernest Johnson, Paul Peck, Alva Hunt, Glen Berry and Lowel Rowe.
