Benedikt Fritz was born in Austria on 22 May 1791, to Benadikt and Anna Maria Katharina Fritz. He married Veronika Jochum likely in 1837. He died in Bludenz, Austria on 4 February 1861. He was buried on the old church yard (Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche, or Holy Cross Church) in Bludenz, Austria.
