HENRY FRITZ OF BLAKESBURG DIES

Native Resident and Retired Business Man Succumbs at His Home.

Blakesburg — Henry Fritz, 74 died at his home in Blakesburg Saturday, January 9, 1937 at 8:30 p.m. after being in failing health for some time and bedfast the last few days.

He was a retired business man, having been in business in a general store here for many years. He was born in Blakesburg and had lived here all his life.

He is survived by his wife, Millie; two daughters, Mrs. R. R. Pearson of Muscatine and Mrs. Grover Ross of Des Moines; a son Earl, at home; a brother, Frank of Blakesburg; a sister, Mrs. William Shea of Blakesburg; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He had been a member of the I. O. O. F. and M.W.A lodges at Blakesburg for several years.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the Baptist church in Blakesburg, in charge of the Rev. Floyd Edwards, assisted by the Rev. Orville Dillon. Burial will be in the Blakesburg cemetery.
