Obituary
OTTUMWA — Patricia Shea Erland, 78, of 509 W. Park Ave., died at 1:40 p.m. Nov. 13, 2010, at Hospice House.
She was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Lincoln, Neb., to John and Muriel Fritz Shea. She married John A. Erland in 1951. He preceded her in death Aug. 25, 1986.
A graduate of Marian Colbert High School in Los Angeles, Calif., she was a resident of Ottumwa most of her life.
Pat was a real estate agent, having worked for Century 21 and Remax. She had been a member of the Ottumwa Board of Realtors.
She enjoyed genealogy, having a special interest in her family's heritage.
Surviving are a son, John S. (Charlotte) Erland of Maple Grove, Minn.; and a grandson, Joseph Erland.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Eric Erland.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 5–7 p.m. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heartland Humane Society at PO Box 1149 Ottumwa, Iowa 52501.
