Van Meter Rites for J. F. Fritz
J. F. Fritz, 90, of 4116 Ninth St. Des Moines, died Thursday March 7, at the New Haven Rest Home in Des Moines. Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter with burial in Resthaven cemetery in Des Moines.
Mr. Fritz, a native of Avon, Iowa, was a barber in Earlham and Van Meter for many years. He moved to Des Moines nine years ago to live with his daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Jay Robinson.
Mr. Fritz was a member of the Earlham Presbyterian church and the Order of Easter Star and was a Mason for 66 years.
Survivors include his daughter; a son, Otis Fritz of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Notes
His "three grandchildren" would have been Fredric Otis's daughters Joan Fritz and Jean M. Fritz, and Mildred's daughter Betty Lou Robinson. His five great-grandchildren are undetermined.
